About me

I am a passionate, creative and sociable film connoisseur.

I hope to one day write, script and direct my own movies and shows and I will try my hardest to achieve that goal. I am currently in my third year of creative media in Crawley college, and hope to pursue directing further through university or apprenticeships.

If I manage to achieve my dream I would love to make many movies and tv shows spanning multiple genres and age demographics. I would primarily focus on the superhero genre and sci fi genre as I find the creativity needed for the genres is more fun and allows for much more symbolism and entertaining visuals. I want all my stories to focus on character over story, with my characters changing and growing throughout the story. I like to write very complicated characters ones who are aggressive and violent but have the right intentions, or are caring and talkative but incredibly selfish. I like writing my characters this way as I feel it creates much more complicated scenarios and makes my stories feel a lot more grounded despite the sci fi aesthetic. I also do this as I believe it gives more room for characters to grow. 

I love sci fi, dramas and superhero films. I love sci fi as it can expand the imagination, show you amazing worlds, come up with out there ideas and devices, but most importantly subtly link into real world politics and ideals while telling something completely unique. I love dramas as they have can have such a big effect on our emotions, tell gritty and realistic stories that we relate to and fear, but most importantly it can teach us complicated values and choices and allow us to think of how we would react to them and how we can be better. I enjoy superhero movies as like sci fi they force you to be creative and think of out there ideas that you have to make sense of. I also enjoy superhero movies as like with dramas they teach us morals and give us complicated values and ideas. Superhero movies are also just plain entertaining, it's interesting to watch someone do everything in their power to do the right thing no matter the sacrifice.
